Three generations, one passion since 1957! From cauliflower cultivation to fragrant oregano, our journey is a tale of tradition, innovation, and a whole lot of Hellenic heart. Mantinea Herbs, is nestled in the timeless embrace of Mantinea (also known as Mantinia),at a breezy altitude of 620 meters in the Arcadian prefecture of the Peloponnese peninsula. The climate and the composition of Mantinea’s soil are ideal for Aromatic plants, as all the herbs cultivated are indigenous. As a protected historical area, it's untouched by the heavy hand of intensive agriculture and the shadow of pesticides. Our principles are based on Certified organic farming as all products of Mantinea Herbs, are certified as organic by the certification body BioHellas. Organic farming is part of a broader effort in support of a balanced ,sustainable and energy efficient ecosystem,while all plant residues resulting from the processing phase (stalks, branches) are composted and used to enhance the soil, with the scope to prepare a soil rich in organic matter and a balanced ecosystem rich in diversity and resistant to threats.
